27 Oct 1834 - Departed from Cork, Ireland on board the Lady Kennaway bound for Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Hulk Report - good.

13 Feb 1835 - Arrived at Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Surgeon's Report - good.
Description upon arrival: Trade - farm labourer; Height - 5' 6¼"; Age - 46; Complexion - pale; Head - medium-small; Hair - brown; Whiskers - brown, small; Visage - long, oval; Forehead - high; Eyebrows - brown; Eyes - grey; Nose - large; Mouth - medium; Chin - medium-small; Native Place - Ketteringham.

2 Apr 1840 - Attended muster in Bothwell.

5 Jul 1841 - Russell, Bothwell / Charged with neglect of duty in causing the death of 27 sheep and other misconduct - acquitted.

1 Jan 1842 - Appeared on the census living at Bendeveron, near Bothwell.
