Extract from the life story of Benjamin Smith (1835-1927): I went down to my native place and saw my relations. I had lots of aunts and uncles, also cousins. My Aunt Hannah had two daughters, the same age as my oldest brother and myself. My brother told me before I left Tasmania to ask this cousin if she would come to Tasmania to marry him, and I delivered my message and got a reply in the affirmative.
