25 August 1854: Born in Bothwell; son of Charles Manser and Sarah Edwards; informant: his mother, Sarah. [1]

30 January 1855: Baptised in Bothwell. [2]

14 February 1873: Reports of Crime article.
WARRANT ISSUED. On 7th February 1873, by R. H. Wilmore, Esquire, J.P., for the arrest of William Manser, charged with having, at Bothwell, on 28th December 1872, left his illegitimate male child without means of support.
Description - 19 or 20 years of age, 5' 6" high, medium head, light thin hair, high forehead, grey eyes, fair complexion, a shoemaker, native of the colony. His parents reside at Hobart Town. He was recently married and is supposed to be living in the District of Clarence.

William Manser has been arrested by D. C. McGuire, of the Hobart Territorial Police, and Constable Palmer, of Clarence Municipal Police. [3]
